One: power supply design

Due to the strong dispersion of LEDs, their voltage drop, wavelength, color and height vary widely. Only LEDs with the same index can be used in parallel and the high voltage drop current is very small. The current of the high voltage drop is small, and the color and height of the light are not uniform, which shortens the service life of the current. The life of the power supply is also an important reason. The electrolytic capacitor has a service life of 8000 hours at 105 ° C, a capacitor life of 15,000 hours at 40 to 60 ° C, and an electrolytic capacitor of 30,000 hours.

Two: light source

The quality of LED chips is an important reason for life. At the same time, the design and materials of the chip will also affect the life of the LED. LED packaging technology is also an important factor affecting the life of LEDs. A reliable packaging manufacturer has a lot to do with LED life.

Three: heat dissipation design

Heat dissipation is one of the important factors affecting the life of LEDs. The emission of the LED requires current drive. Of the power of the LED, only about 15% can be efficiently converted into light, and most (about 85%) is converted into heat due to low efficiency. The ambient temperature is very important, and the ambient temperature will affect the heat dissipation of the LED lamp by 5 to 20 degrees.

1, heat dissipation

The heat accumulation of the LED lamp not only affects the electrical performance of the LED, but also affects the failure of the LED. Therefore, in order to ensure the service life of LED lamps, heat dissipation has become a key technology in white LED applications. In the application design of LED white LEDs, rapidly reducing or dissipating the heat generated by LEDs has become a primary problem.

2, the drive power

The quality of LED power directly limits the reliability of LED products. Therefore, the international market demand for efficiency of LED drive power, effective power, constant current accuracy, power supply life and electromagnetic compatibility is very high in the international market, because the function of the power supply in the entire lamp is as important as this. Human heart.

3, drive current

The greater the current flowing through the LED in the range of its current limiting parameters, the higher its brightness. In other words, the brightness of the LED is proportional to the operating current. However, if the current through the LED exceeds the limit parameter range, the LED will saturate, which not only reduces the luminous efficiency significantly, but also reduces the useful life.

Four: light source material

The LED is a point source. If a poor LED is used, the LED will release a large amount of heat during the working process, so that the core junction temperature rises rapidly. The higher the LED power, the greater the thermal effect and the higher the temperature of the LED chip. It causes changes in the performance of the light-emitting device and attenuation of the electro-optical conversion efficiency, even failure.

Five: light distribution processing

The LED is a directional point source. How to creatively apply this characteristic of LED to create a comfortable light environment is the core of LED light optical design technology. The LED light source itself typically has a lens or transmissive material for improving light emission efficiency and meeting a light distribution of about 120 degrees. It is often referred to as optical design. However, in order to meet the needs of indoor lighting, it is necessary to redistribute light as needed and distribute the light emitted by the LED twice to achieve a comfortable light environment, which also affects an important factor of LED quality.
